Our stay in Rochester with Viola Suites is one that we are grateful for. I have been coming to Mayo Clinic for the past four years, basically I fell out of remission. We have stayed in expensive hotels downtown and felt like we were in a different country. We stayed in two furnished housing properties and they were nothing like the peaceful tranquility offered at Viola. The management is excellent. The respect and courtesy for others is unmatched. If you just need someone to talk with when your down and away from your family and grandchildren you can count on them to be more then a rental agent. The apartment was relaxed homey and clean. I thank then for everything and I will never stay anywhere else.

Amazing, “A wonderful place to stay if you have to stick around going to Mayo Clinic” Location is perfect, quiet, peaceful, and on top of nature. The staff is fantastic and Ms. Reitz is an experienced general manager. Her words of encouragement, smile and her help was always there. This is a quality operation, well managed, with immaculate apartment and well maintained. Comfortable beds, recliners and everything you needed was there. If you need to be in Rochester this is the place.

My husband and I stayed at the Viola Suites and feel very blessed to have found this place. It's clean, and a well maintained property offering everything needed. Most of all, it was wonderful to see Judy's smiling face everyday. She is a fantastic manager and a very caring lady. If we needed anything she was away wearing a smile and ready help. Judy was always positive which helped me taking care of myself and husband who was at the clinic for two months. We are country people hundreds of miles away from home but she helped us to feel welcomed and our apartment felt like our home. She was more then a manager but a friend who was there to listen when I was feeling alone. I would recommend staying at the Viola Suites, it made our difficult trip away from family and friends go smoothly. Thank you, Judy and Viola Suites, you are one in a million.

We had a one month stay at a home from Viola Suites. The house is fully furnished, and offer everything that anyone could ask for. The attached garage is heated and during the winter months it was great to drive up, press a button and drive in to comfort. The staff is experienced and responded to our needs in a timely fashion. We really recommend a home from Viola Suites to everyone who plans on living in Rochester for an extended period of time.

I'm writing this review because of the great stay we had at Viola Suites. My wife needed open heart surgery and we were all worried about a good place for her to stay. The home we stayed at offered everything, the extra's made our lives easier. . The kitchen was totally equipped and included basic's in canisters, coffee, tea, sugar, sweeteners everything you might need along with spices. Cleaning supplies and even dishwasher detergent were provided. I traveled for AT&T for 20 years and have never seen anything like it. This company has it down to a science, they are a home away from home. The staff was friendly, just like neighbors, every courtesy was extended and words of encouragement helped us feel comfortable with the ordeal ahead. The decor was unique with a mix of antiques, oil paintings and the TV stand was 110 years old and came from England. Everything was well maintained and the furniture was comfortable down to the recliner. I was concerned with how clean the property was since we booked it from the internet and a phone conversation, it doesn't get better then this If you looking around for short term furnished apartment, this is the place. Thank you for everything, the staff and everything they did helped make this trip a good experience and much easier then we expected. Thanks to all the fine people at Saint Marys hospital, you were all wonderful.

My wife and I came to Rochester for my new position at Mayo Clinic, everything happened so quickly but fortunately we found the Viola Suites web site and arranged a one month stay. I would like to thank Dennis for the coordination with our late arrival. We drove through rain, latter snow and then a ice storm nonstop from TX. Judy the manager helped us unload with an umbrella and had milk and orange juice waiting for us so we didn't have to go out in the morning. The fireplace was running and made our arrival more then we could hoped for. I recommend this place for any new-comer or anyone looking for comfortable temporary housing. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality.

Viola Suites apartments were the perfect place for to stay while my husband was undergoing major surgery at the Clinic. I didn't know for how long I would need to stay, but Dennis the owner and Judy the GM were helpful and I was able to extend my stay from three weeks to two months with a reduced and adjusted rate. I stayed in two different apartments at that time and both were great. The apartments offered a cozy, homelike setting that was nice to come back to in the evenings after a long day at the hospital. I loved the cozy fireplace and it was great to have a recliner to stretch out on. The kitchens were stocked with staples, the apartment was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The surroundings were quiet, in a beautiful area and looked into a wooded park. I recommend this company for a extended stay if you need to come to Rochester.

If you ever find yourself at Mayo Clinic when you'd rather be in a summer home in the woods, there is a way to do both. Viola Suites offers a friendly place to live in a park like setting and not jammed in a unknown area. The apartment was excellent and the grounds made this place wonderful. We were here for spring bird migration and checked out books from the Rochester Library to identify there the many unusual species. The wide lawn allows for room to roam. There's a picnic area out back with tables and a fire pit. It's a woodsy area under large trees, in contrast to the trimmed lawn and gardens area in front. The property backs onto Quarry Hill Nature Area, which is accessible by driving 5 minutes around the block to the main entrance, or 3 minutes down the hill of houses to the back entrance for walking. Another unique aspect of Viola Suites is the staff. Judith is a friendly and a competent housekeeper and staff manager. There experience with patients allows them to be a good judge how long we could be here. They genuinely care about the guest and guest houses. Thank you,

I have been a Mayo Clinic patient for 12 years and therefore a Rochester hotel user for that exact reason. I did not discover Viola Suites and wish I had found them sooner. They will be my first call when I need to attend the Clinic, roughly three times a year. The accommodations are clean, quiet, and everything you need is there, nothing like anywhere I have stayed before. I am on a restricted diet and my husband is diabetic, It's important to be able to prepare our own meals, and have full size kitchen. Better yet, they give you many basic staples to get you started. I highly recommend Viola Suites to any Mayo patient looking for reasonably priced apartments while undergoing diagnostic's, surgery, or procedures at Mayo.

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay here. It was perfect and we hope to come back and stay in May. Thank you for all you have done to provide us a place that is like "home" in our time of need. The extras you provide made our trip to the Clinic simpler, and we were quite surprised what we all found. Best Regards,

We loved our stay at the Abbey at Viola Suites! Our accommodations were everything we had been told and more. We were in Home Suite Home for five weeks. The place was very clean and private. Our stay in Rochester was for very stressful reasons, but our surrounding helped us take a breath and keep things in perspective. Judy the Manager was to willing to make sure that we had everything we needed. We hope we never have to return for a long term stay, but if we do, this is where we will want to stay. Thanks, Dennis and Judy for doing your best to take the stress out of an uncertain time. Everything is going well in Midland, Michigan. We go back for our day long Day appointment in a couple weeks. That will be a relief to have done. We hope all is well with you, and thanks again for all you did during our stay!

We stayed at Viola Suites, at newer ranch home for 5 weeks, it was a perfect fit. The monthly rate was very reasonable considering you had everything. Nice neighborhood - It was cold but enjoyed getting out and walking my dog around in the neighborhood I felt comfortable in. They are close to the grocery, theater, restaurants and shopping. I'm so glad I found them in my search, I really lucked out, I definitely recommend Viola Suites to everyone going to Rochester.

Our family came to Rochester for my Husband to work with research at Mayo Clinic, we stayed six months. We stayed in a romantic home in the area they call Pill Hill. We found many things we could use that made of visit easier. The house was great and the children had lots of room to play in the family room. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and and the home was found in good order, clean and decorated comfortably. I would recommend this company highly if your coming to Rochester.

This is our fifth time staying at Viola Suites and every time that we come we feel like home. We've been here with my two little children and they just loved going outside to play in that wonderful yard. It's great to have a kitchen with all the tools needed to cook which helped us save a lot when comparing to eating out. I strongly recommend Viola Suites to everyone !!!

We stayed in Suite Melinda for two weeks in July while going to Mayo appointments. It was wonderful -- clean, quiet, comfortable. Everything we could we needed was provided. The kitchen with all of the dishes, utensils, appliances, staples and the Welcome package made it possible to cook for ourselves rather than having to eat every meal out. We enjoyed being able to make ourselves at home and not being cooped up in a motel room. Thank you, Dennis, for the great accommodations. We will certainly recommend Viola Suites to everyone!

There is only one word to describe Viola Suites - Outstanding! My family and I stayed at the Viola Suites for 2 months while I was in and out of the Mayo clinic for surgery and treatment. During this difficult time we felt like we were in our own home. Not only was every possible amenity provided for us, but in addition, Judy was always on hand to make sure we were comfortable. She is an exceptional host who goes beyond the call of duty on. They have this DVD movie library which was great for entertaining my children. I truly believe that my recovery was enhanced by staying at Viola Suites and am grateful that we have such a wonderful place to stay on subsequent visits to Rochester. The nicest hotel does not measure up to the at-home feeling of the Viola Suites.

Viola Suites was a wonderful place to stay. We traveled in from Beijing to visit the Mayo clinic. Having two small children and having to go through jet lag we decided that we should try and get a place with two bedrooms. What a great thing that we stumbled onto Viola Suites. The staff made us at home. The apartment is furnished including dishes, cooking equipment and even basic supplies. Judy the manager arranged for fresh fruit, juice, milk, to be stocked in the refrigerator at our arrival . The apartment was clean, well kept and is much larger than I expected. There were a number of snows while we were there and and the grounds crew were there every day making sure the paths were shoveled and safe. It was truly our home away from home while in Rochester. We are planning to come back next year.

If you come to Rochester for Mayo clinic treatment there is only one place to stay, Viola suites.... It is that simple. The owner Dennis really cares about his guest. When we arrived we did not rent a car (mistake!) Dennis drove me to the local grocery store and waited while I got groceries. I must mention that these groceries were only the food we wanted to eat we found many extra's provided, sugar, coffee, spices and there was more. a pleasant surprise The next day we decided to rent a car and Dennis drove us to locally owned car and rental dealer.... Thank you again, the pricing was much better. The suites are immaculate and quite roomy. After coming home from long days at the clinic the comfort of walking up your personal steps into your personal home cannot be adequately described. Do yourself a favor, you'll have enough to deal with at the Mayo.... stay at Viola Suites, you will not be disappointed.

If you prefer a relaxing, private, home type setting rather than a bustling, public hotel type setting, the Abbey is for you. From the huge yard with mature trees, outside your door to the well stocked kitchen with all the condiments and utensils you need, at the end of the day it was like going home. The owner and staff are dedicated to helping. No question is too silly, no detail is too small to help make what may be a difficult time one that is tolerable and comfortable. Our 2.5 month stay was a positive experience, not only because of the competence of the Mayo staff, but also because of a lovely, restful place to stay. Thanks for everything.

Where do I start, my husband and I stayed for a week while I had appointments at the Mayo Clinic. We brought our 10 yr. old boxer, Samson, with us. Samson had not been himself for almost a month and we were worried about him. Unfortunately, Samson suffered a stroke on our last morning at Viola Suites. After contacting Dennis & Cheryl for help, they not only came right away, but Cheryl left her doctors office and cancelled her own appointment to come. She then called around to get us an emergency visit for our Samson. Sadly, Samson's stroke was severe and we had to say goodbye to our friend that day. Judith and Cheryl not only provide a beautiful, cozy, clean and comfortable place to stay, with anything you could possibly need, but they went above and beyond and made us to feel that we were truly among friends. We will always be grateful for clicking on the link that led us to the Viola Suites. GOD Bless!

We stayed at Viola Suites while on a recent trip to Minnesota. We had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen, living room, dishes, utensils, everything you would need. The Judy is a gracious host and I'm sure anyone who stayed here would have no complaints.

I could never find a more perfect place to stay than the Abbey at Viola Suites. My apartment was so much more than I could ever have imagined. Located in Rochester, the property is nestled in next to a nature preserve with acres to room on. They're only minutes away to the Clinic and everything is close. This is how it made me feel, nestled comfortably in an small apartment setting which was quiet and serene. They cater to corporate moves and Clinic patients. It certainly helped me to feel comfortable during my visit to the Mayo Clinic especially since I was a single female and traveled there all by myself. Viola Suites is more like coming to my country home than returning to a hotel or anything else, they are special. My host and the staff was spectacular and was there to take care of any of my needs during my stay. There warm and friendly demeanor also helped me to feel so comfortable and took away my fears of being treated at the Clinic all by myself. I could never have found a better place. I will be sure to book my stay with Suites upon my return.

Viola Suites had everything we wanted for our week in Rochester. We requested grocery for our arrival and when we got there everything we ordered was stocked and in the fridge The apartment had a stylish and comfortable living area with a dining room and a beautiful outside setting. It was truly a home away from home. The owner and staff are friendly helpful were very informative about the area. They keep the place immaculate and the snow was always cleared. We felt well prepared for for our trips to the Clinic and well looked after if we needed anything. When we wanted to cook our own meals, there were many basic's provided in canisters along with a variety of spices. The coffee is excellent. The view from our deck into the woods is lovely. During the Christmas season they put a tree in out apartment. The snow covered grounds are mature woods with Cedars and Pine trees gave me a back to nature feeling when I needed it. It was nice to get back at the end of the day and sit by the warmth of a fireplace.... what more can you ask for ? If you ever plan to visit Rochester Viola Suites is ideal.

I just wanted to comment that my stay here was wonderful. The apartment was very comfortable and cozy. All my care givers (4) commented how I made a good choice to stay here. I love the woods and the setting, our location of the Abbey was perfect for me. I found the evergreens and trees out my window to be very healing. You are also, caring, genuinely caring and you and Cheryl were always great. I would highly recommend Viola Suites to anyone. You were right, the apartment is fully loaded compared to the other places in town. Thank you for everything,

The environment and location do offer the comforts of a home. They offer 5 unique private apartments on acres of land yet convenient to shopping, theater and close to the Clinic. They provide all imaginable staples to maintain a full kitchen. Small things that make life easier from basic office supplies down to a simple stapler and cleaning supplies are all a part of there welcoming package. Price is affordable compared to others especially given the added touches. You can literally prepare all your meals and save a bundle on dining out. The location is approximately 2 miles from the downtown. They are in a really nice area, I meet a neighborhood, a Mayo Doctor and he told me that the owner takes pride in the property. I stayed for two months working on project for IBM and have to say I am glad I found this property.

Dennis, I just wanted to say thanks for everything at Viola Suites a few weeks ago. Rebecca is doing much better. I am glad we got her in the program at the pain clinic. She has a life now, and doing more then she ever did before. We still have a ways to go, but we have come a great distance. You have a nice place. You made our stay comfortable and really like a home. My daughter was gleaming when you put up our Christmas tree. With that I can only say thanks for your ministry of service. If you decide to move south, call me - Lake Martin is great.

Cheryl, I would like to say thank-you for your presence in my life this past couple of months. As you know, it has been a very difficult and trying time. You were there, doing everything you possibly could to help me when I had literally reached the end of my strength. Sorry I called so often and thanks for being there. It has been extremely difficult for us to adjust to the cold but the gas fireplace made me extra comfy. Thank you for always having a smile, a friendly word and for having the time to talk a little. We felt very isolated and you took that isolation away. You have a wonderful place and and you have all been wonderful people. Your beautiful smile is a gift from God to others; use it often.

We had a wonderful stay with you and your place meets the highest standards. When I first saw your web site it said more then you ever expected, I figured that was just some advertising sounding off. Well it was true and we had a wonderful stay here and will tell everyone we know. King Solomon was known not only for his wisdom but also for his hospitality.... enough to inspire a queen.
